Friends of St Stephen's Infant School

The Friends of St Stephen's Infants School has been an integral part of the school community for a number of years now. In its time the Friends of St Stephen's Infant School has raised thousands of pounds, which has been spent on equipment and resources to enhance our children’s education experience and the school’s facilities.

Our PTA is about much more than simply fundraising. The PTA exists to provide closer links between home and school and it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal.

It is fun too - just ask any of the Committee members or helpers.  Obviously, as in any organisation, we have experienced some challenges but with the continued support of parents and staff, we have always succeeded in its efforts.

All parents and members of the school community are encouraged to get involved, even if they only have a small amount of time available and all families are automatically members of the Friends when their child joins our school

The 2022-23 Committee is as follows:

Hayley Lovell - Chair

Teresa Cooper - Treasurer

Natalie James - Secretary

We are always looking for new people to get involved both as part of the Committee and at our events.

If you would like to get in touch please email us on friendsofssis@gmail.com and we'll be in touch as soon as possible.

If you can spare any amount of time please call the Friends’ Chairperson,

Hayley Lovell on 07900244590 or the Friends’ Treasurer, Teresa Cooper on 07999248116.

The Friends are extremely conscious of the ethos and diversity of our school, and we try very hard when organising and planning events to respect this. Not all of our events are fundraisers. Our children’s discos and fun afternoons are run with the aim of giving the children a good time and as a way of thanking families for their continued support for the PTA, along with family barbecues and Bedtime Story for everyone to come together as a school and be sociable.

Come along and join us to help all the children at St Stephen's Infant's School have a great time both inside and outside school.
