Year 2

Lock down learning. 

Each week your class teacher will host a Zoom meeting on a Monday at 9:00 for Leo class and 9:30am for Draco and Pegasus  for children (and adults) where we will be able to say hello and we will briefly explain the remote learning for that week. There will also be a zoom meeting for parents to ask any questions on a Thursday at 9:30am (all classes). 

New learning will be posted on Friday afternoons for the following week. Each week you will get daily Phonics, English and Maths as well as 2 or 3 topic based ideas for that week. Key worker children will be doing exactly the same learning so if you are in some days you can pick up the exact work you need when you are home. 

For every week children have:

Collins big Cat books (ebooks) set for them at their reading level from the end of term 2. We now have books for all levels (up to Lime).

Reading eggs - Levels are set by an initial assessment on the website then tasks are automaically given to children based on this

Doodle Maths - This will be set weekly by the teachers and might be different to the topic that we are covering in the main maths lessons.

For both Big Cat books and Doodle maths your logins have been set home previously.  Reading eggs login were emailed home by teachers. If you are missing any please email us.

Feel free to email the year 2 teachers any learning that you have done. Teachers will respond on their working days.
